Douglas Isle Of Man – A Great Location The Ellan Vannin is very close to the main Sea Port and the picturesque Douglas Marina with its eclectic selection of trendy wine bars and restaurants. The Villa Marina and the Gaiety Theatre are only moments away along the sea front. Buses, Trams and Trains are close by, opening up the whole of the Isle of Man from the picture postcard beauty of the south to the hauntingly wild landscapes of the North. It’s all here on your doorstep waiting to be explored. By Car Sat Nav post code is IM1 2LY Driving from the Ferry: Proceed along the sea front, passing the RBS headquarters on your left. The Ellan Vannin can be found in the middle of the 2nd block opposite the fountain in the sunken garden. Land marks you may recognize very close by are Loch Promenade church and a popular Italian restaurant called Papparazzi. Driving from the airport: Turn right on leaving the airport and follow signs for Douglas. As you approach Douglas follow signs for the Port. At the traffic light controlled fork in the road keep right. You will notice the petrol station the Brown Bobby at this junction. Follow this road all the way down to the Port and then continue on along the sea front. The Ellan Vannin can be found in the middle of the 2nd block opposite the fountain in the sunken garden. Land marks you may recognize very close by are Loch Promenade church and a popular Italian restaurant called Papparazzi. By Bus The bus to Douglas from the airport is clearly marked and leaves every 20 mins from just outside the exit. The price is approximately £2.90 and the journey takes about 30 mins. Alight the bus at the Church on Loch Promenade. Ellan Vannin is to your right on the sea front. Walking From the Ferry Terminal – Proceed along Douglas Promenade. Follow the sunken gardens to your left until you see the fountain. Ellan Vannin is immediately opposite. From the main Bus Station – head into the main shopping area which stretches out along Duke Street and Strand Street. These two streets are dissected by a Pelican crossing which you will encounter. When you come across TK Maxx, turn right at this point and walk towards the promenade. Turn Left on reaching the Promenade and Ellan Vannin is a few doors along.
